Minneapolis Police Department Initiates Death Investigation After Locating Dead Person

October 31, 2019 (MINNEAPOLIS) At 11:10 pm on Wednesday evening Minneapolis Police, Fire, and North Healthcare Ambulance responded to the report of an adult male down inside a residence on the 3900 block of Lyndale Avenue North.

Emergency personnel arrived on the scene and the determined the male to be deceased.

Information received at the scene is that family members had not heard from their loved one and went to the residence to check on that person. They entered into the residence and located the adult male inside the residence.

Investigators from the Minneapolis Police Department Homicide Unit have initiated a death investigation. They have also interviewed people at the scene and are following up on leads generated.  No one is in custody at this time.

The Minneapolis Police Department Crime Lab responded and processed the scene, collecting evidence for further analysis.

The identity of the decedent along with the nature and cause of death will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.
