Puntland Election Commission promulgates nomination criteria

the chairman of the members of putland state assembly Abdihakim Mohamed Ahmed appointed seven commisioners who will be conducting,supervising,monitering and administering presidential and deputy presidential election which was dated on 8th january 2019.

The chairman of the appointed commisioners honourable Ali Ahmed Dahir who addresed before the parliament unveiled the prerejoice , terms ,conditions and the requirements that presidential and deputy presidential aspirant should meet.

According to the election commission anybody who wishes to vie for presidential seat should pay 20,000 US dollars while duputy president contester should disburse 10, 000 US dollars and should not have a foreign spouse.

” the creteria that presidential and deputy presidential aspirant should meet 1 anybody who is a putland resident can vie provided that he meet the terms and the condition that are drafted in putland constitution which includes -must be a muslim , practise islamic religion, sane , older than 45years , not married with foreign spouse , educated and undstand and also apprehend the wey of live of the people of putland ” the election commission chairman concluded.

Putland members of parliament will be on the ballot came 8th january 2019 to vote for their prefered candidate for president and deputy president.

The last 20 years putland has being putting alot of effort to implement one man one vote but it bore no fruits and one vote one vote remains a dream for the people of somalia even though somaliland (self proclaimed independence ) has so far executed one man one vote where citizens exercise their democratic rights of choising the prevered leaders.
