Victim Dies 3 Weeks After Being Shot

September 30, 2019 (MINNEAPOLIS) On September 7, 2019 at 7:28 pm, Minneapolis Police Officers responded to the area of the 900 block of Hawthorne on a report of the sound of shots fired.

Officers arrived and located an adult male, in his 30’s, laying in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers preformed life saving measures until they were relieved by Fire personnel.  The victim was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center where, on September 29^th, he died.

Officers and investigators canvassed the area immediately after the shooting and spoke with individuals.

The Minneapolis Police Department crime lab responded to the scene and collected evidence.

The identity, along with the nature and causes of death, will be released by the medical examiner in the days to come.

There is no one in custody at this time.
