Hiddo Soor Hosts 4th Annual Somali Culture Festival in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH – On Saturday, July 19, 2025, Hiddo Soor proudly hosted the 4th Annual Somali Culture Festival at the Hilda Performance Center in Plymouth. The vibrant celebration brought together community members, families, and leaders to honor and share Somali culture through music, traditional dance, delicious food, and community resources.

The event featured performances by some of the most prominent Somali musicians and welcomed local and state elected officials who spoke in support of the community. With a beautiful summer day as the backdrop, attendees enjoyed an unforgettable experience at the stunning outdoor venue celebrating heritage, unity, and pride.

Celebrating Somali Literature at Minnesota Book Fair

ROSEVILLE – Twelve Somali authors gathered at the Roseville Library in Roseville, Minnesota, to host a vibrant book fair event. The authors showcased a diverse range of books, including children’s stories, Islamic literature, business guides, and both fiction and nonfiction works.

Some authors also had the opportunity to read their books aloud to the community members who attended, making it a special and engaging experience for all. It was a wonderful celebration of Somali literature and culture!
